South Carolina man faces charges in $50K insurance fraud case

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has arrested a Kershaw County man in connection with an insurance fraud case involving more than $50,000.
Tyreek Louis Napoleon Broughton, 29, was charged on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, with Insurance Fraud – False Statement or Misrepresentation, 1st Offense, stemming from an investigation launched at the request of the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office.
