Will credit card interest rates fall this October? Here’s what experts say.

A man was arrested after at least nine credit card skimmers were found on ATMs and where people swipe credit cards across Virginia.
Two car skimmers were found in early September, leading to the discovery of seven more skimming machines. Six of those skimmers had miniature cameras at ATMs and could steal card data and PIN codes, according to the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD).

Marko Puskas, 40, was arrested on Thursday at the 7100 block of Lee Highway in Falls Church, Virginia, according to FCPD. He faces charges including identity theft, possession of fictitious identification, possession of burglarious tools, conspiracy to commit a felony and unlawful use of payment card scanning devices and re-encoders.
The skimming devices were found at the following businesses in Fairfax County, police said:
Dollar Tree: 6711 Richmond Highway
7-Eleven: 8226 Russell Road, Woodlawn
Two devices at 7-Eleven: 5638 Mount Vernon Memorial Highway, Mount Vernon
7-Eleven: 2901 Arlington Drive, Groveton
7-Eleven: 3100 Lockheed Boulevard, Groveton
7-Eleven: 2800 Beacon Hill Road, Groveton

To protect your data from card skimmers, police suggested the following tips:
Check any card reader or keypad to see if it looks bulky, loose or mismatched color before inserting your card
Check for hidden cameras by looking for any unusual attachments or pinholes
Do not accept help from bystanders; some scammers may pose as good Samaritans to steal your information
Use your hand to cover the keypad when you type in your PIN, even if you do not see anything suspicious
Check your accounts regularly
Use contactless payment methods like tap to pay or digital wallets like Apple Pay or Google Wallet
Puskas was held at Fairfax County Adult Detention Center with no bond.
