LONDON, Oct 14 (Reuters) – British consumer spending grew by the least in four months in September as uncertainty ahead of finance minister Rachel Reeves’ budget next month and rising energy bills deterred shoppers, a survey showed on Tuesday.
The British Retail Consortium said spending in shops increased by 2.3% in annual terms, below August’s 3.1% growth and the weakest rise since May.
