Quantum Art Secures $100M in Series A Funding for Trapped-Ion Quantum Computing
Quantum Art, a Dallas-based startup developing trapped-ion quantum computers, has raised $100 million in a Series A round to accelerate its multi-core architecture and scale up to 1,000-qubit systems. Led by Bedford Ridge Capital, the round included Battery Ventures, Destra Investments, Lumir Growth Partners, Disruptive AI, Harel Insurance, and other investors.
The new funding will advance Quantum Art’s “Perspective” system (a 1,000-qubit trapped-ion processor) and support prototyping of its third-generation 2D architecture. CEO Dr. Tal David, a former Draper engineer, said the capital “validates our vision” and will help bring trapped-ion quantum processors to commercial scale.

Nu Quantum Raises $60M in Series A Funding to Network Quantum Processors
Nu Quantum, a UK–US startup pioneering distributed quantum computing, closed a $60 million Series A round to accelerate its photonic networking technology. The round was led by National Grid Partners, with Gresham House Ventures and Morpheus Ventures joining, and continued support from Amadeus Capital, IQ Capital, Ahren Capital, Cambridge Enterprise Ventures, East Innovate, NSSIF, and Sumitomo (Presidio Ventures).
This oversubscribed financing — the largest Series A in the UK — will fund the development of Nu Quantum’s “Entanglement Fabric,” which will interconnect processors and enable fault-tolerant scaling. Founder & CEO Dr. Carmen Palacios-Berraquero said the investment “validates our vision” for networked quantum computers and will fuel hiring and global expansion.

Vatn Systems Nets $60M in Series A Funding for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles
Vatn Systems, a Rhode Island startup building autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) for defense and research, announced a $60 million Series A today. Founded in 2023 by brothers Nelson and Freddie Mills (both former Navy officers) and CTO Geoff Manchester, Vatn aims to become a leader in multi-mission AUVs.
The new capital, on top of a $13M seed round last year, will expand R&D and manufacturing of Vatn’s modular AUV platforms, such as the Skelmir series. Joe Musselman of lead investor Boston Ventures (BVVC) praised Vatn’s “advanced navigation technology and scalable manufacturing,” noting this is “the largest funding round in the AUV space.”

Radial Raises $50M in Series A Funding for Interventional Psychiatry Network
New York-based Radial announced a $50 million Series A round (led by General Catalyst) to expand its national network of mental health clinics focused on “brain medicine” treatments. Founded by CEO John Capecelatro, Radial is deploying advanced therapies such as accelerated TMS and rapid-acting medications (e.g. esketamine) to achieve higher remission rates than traditional psychiatric care.
The funding will help Radial build clinical infrastructure and payer partnerships to bring modern neuromodulation and medication protocols to more patients. “Psychiatry is transforming,” said General Catalyst’s Reva Nohria, noting Radial’s mission to make cutting-edge mental health treatments more accessible.

PsiThera has also appointed veteran biotech CEO Eric Shaff, and its mission is to develop orally available drugs for targets traditionally accessible only by injectables.
The company’s QUAISAR™ platform uses advanced physics-based simulation and AI to model protein dynamics, enabling rapid hit-to-lead cycles. The new funding will advance PsiThera’s lead TNF-superfamily program and scale its integrated discovery engine.

EpilepsyGTx Secures $33M in Series A Funding for Gene Therapy in Epilepsy
EpilepsyGTx, a NIHR University College London spin-out, has raised $33 million in a Series A round to advance gene therapies for refractory epilepsy and to begin early-phase trials of a potential new treatment for people with severe epilepsy. Co-founded by CEO Nicolas Koebel, the biotech will use the new capital to move its lead AAV gene therapy (EPY201) into Phase 1/2a clinical trials.
EPY201 is designed to locally deliver a therapeutic gene to the patient’s epileptogenic brain focus, offering the potential for seizure control without traditional resection or lifelong drugs.
The investment will also enable EpilepsyGTx to initiate Phase 1/2 clinical trials, marking the first time its gene therapy will be tested in humans. These early-stage studies will evaluate the treatment’s safety and its potential to reduce or eliminate seizures. Crisp, a Bentonville, Arkansas, provider of AI-powered retail analytics, closed a $26 million Series B1 round. The financing was led by Paine Schwartz Partners, with participation from Blue Cloud Ventures, FirstMark Capital, Cox, DNX, Prologis and Wellington Management.
Crisp uses machine learning to unify CPG and retailer data, giving brands visibility into supply chain and sales performance. The new capital will fund the expansion of its platform features and data partnerships.
