Malaysia’s subsidy bill will increase because of higher oil prices caused by the war in the Middle East, said Second Finance Minister Amir Hamzah Azizan .
Malaysia will maintain the subsidized price of the country’s most popular fuel despite volatility in oil prices as the country has enough petroleum products to last through at least May, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said earlier this week. The government will keep the price of the country’s cheapest petrol, known as RON95, at 1.99 ringgit per liter.
