Access Health CT, the state’s health insurance exchange marketplace, has extended its open enrollment period until the end of the month.
The open enrollment period has been extended through Jan. 31, officials said. Customers who sign up this month will receive coverage starting Feb. 1.
“If you received an alert about the deadline on January 15, we have good news. You now have two more weeks to compare your options and enroll in health or dental coverage through Access Health CT. Enroll by the new deadline and your coverage will begin on February 1, 2026,” according to Access Health CT in a statement.
Gov. Ned Lamont recently announced the state will provide financial help for eligible residents to enroll in health coverage through Access Health CT since federal aid that had been in place has expired. Access Health CT officials said they are working to implement the financial incentives, but that nobody should wait to enroll. Customers can review coverage plans on the Access Health CT website and choose the one that best fits their needs.
“You can choose a health plan now and, if you qualify for this new financial help, we’ll adjust your premium and let you know your new expected monthly costs,” according to health officials. “We’re here to help, for free. We can guide you every step of the way as you compare health and dental plan options, estimate costs and choose the best plan(s) for your needs. You can get help online, by phone or in person at one of our enrollment events. We also have Certified Brokers who can recommend a specific health or dental plan for you.”
Anyone can enroll with Access Health CT online at AccessHealthCT.com or in-person at an enrollment event. Access Health CT can be reached by phone at 1-855-805-4325, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you are deaf or hearing impaired, you may use the TTY at 1-855-789-2428 or contact 1-855-805-4325 for a relay operator.
