Ellen Zentner, Morgan Stanley’s (NYSE:MS) chief U.S. economist, is departing her role to lead a newly established team within the bank’s investment division, according to a Monday media report.
Starting Aug. 1, she will be leading the new thematic and macro investing team at Morgan Stanley’s (MS) Global Investment Office, Bloomberg reported, citing an internal memo.
Reporting to Lisa Shalett, the chief investment officer of Morgan Stanely’s (MS) wealth management wing, Zentner will assume the role of chief economic strategist and global head of thematic and macro investing.
Zentner has been head of U.S. macroeconomics at Morgan Stanley (MS) since 2015, the article said, adding the memo didn’t mention who would succeed her.
