Mortgage rates remained stagnant, while affordability in the housing market continued to be an issue, according to the Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Survey.
30-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 6.64% as of Feb. 8, up slightly from 6.63% last week and higher than 6.12% in the week a year ago.
15-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 5.90%, down from last week when they averaged 5.94% and above 5.25% a year ago.
