New Zealand Finance Minister Nicola Willis expressed optimism about the country’s economy, saying rapid interest-rate cuts will help boost growth late this year and in 2026.
“We are now in a much more settled environment,” Willis told Bloomberg Television in an interview on Friday. “We are confidently predicting that growth will have returned in the third quarter and should accelerate in the fourth quarter, particularly helped along with an official cash rate that continues to fall.”
