The New York Police Department has released new photos of a person of interest in the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare chief executive Brian Thompson.
The images, captured from a taxi camera, show a person wearing a blue face mask and looking through a cab partition.
Thompson was shot dead as he walked to his company’s annual investor conference at the New York Hilton Midtown at around 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
Five days after the shooting, police still do not know the gunman’s name or whereabouts. The reason for the killing also remains unknown, but police say evidence firmly points to it being a targeted attack.

Writing on X, formerly Twitter, early Sunday morning, the NYPD said it would give a reward for information.
