A burglar broke into Gresham City Hall Saturday morning, and police are now asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
The burglar stole laptops, city-issued credit cards and various small electronics, the Gresham Police Department said in a statement.
“Most of the electronics were obsolete devices awaiting disposal,” police said. “City staff had already removed the hard drives from several laptops as part of the disposal process, and the data on the remaining devices is encrypted. No critical City systems or data were accessed or affected.”
Many of the stolen items were found a few blocks away.
Police released an image of the suspect, captured by security footage, and asked anyone who recognizes the person to call the Gresham Police Department tip line at 503-618-2719 or 1-888-989-3505.
