The launch of Google’s Gemini 3 has the entire investing world rethinking the artificial intelligence landscape. The new reasoning model not only leapfrogged the latest from ChatGPT juggernaut OpenAI, the still-private company driving so much of the massive AI spending out there, but was also trained entirely on Google’s custom chips called tensor processing units (TPUs), co-designed by Broadcom . In a new post from The Information, the tech outlet said that Meta Platforms is thinking about using Google’s TPUs for its data centers in 2027.
