Tom Llamas saw first-hand the challenges of navigating the healthcare industry when the NBC Nightly News anchor and his family moved to a New York suburb and had to find new doctors for his family.
“It was very difficult to find doctors for our children, doctors that would take new patients, doctors that would take me and my wife, doctors that took our insurance,” the dad of three, 46, tells PEOPLE. “When you do find a doctor, you can’t get an appointment because doctors are seeing so many patients.
