What’s happened? Ford has launched a new program that lets customers buy used Ford cars on Amazon. The move comes two years after Amazon first opened its platform to auto dealers, starting with Hyundai.
You can now browse, finance, and purchase Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Ford vehicles online via Amazon’s Auto marketplace.
In the initial rollout, dealerships in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Dallas are participating, though Ford says it plans to expand to more markets.
Each vehicle sold through the program is backed by Ford’s CPO standards with full inspections, warranties, and a clear service history.
All the cars come with a money-back guarantee, allowing customers to return the vehicle within 14 days or 1,000 miles.
This is important because: Similar to how Amazon transformed other retail categories, buying a car now blends the convenience of e-commerce with traditional dealership pickup.
While the transaction begins on Amazon, the actual pickup and delivery are still handled through the local Ford dealer.
